Chrome Favourite Manga One Punch Man	Tenshinhan is said to be descended from the "three-eyed tribe," who are themselves descendants of aliens. So he's got some small amount of alien blood in him the way the playable Earthlings in Dragon Ball Online do. He's a very distant descendant of aliens who apparently got busy with Earthlings, and is still almost entirely human. But like Clearin beat me to pointing out, the same guidebooks that mention this stuff also still categorize him as a native human-type Earthling, rather than as an alien. So everything everywhere still considers Ten an Earthling (and thus still weaker than Kuririn). Edited by Kaboom, Jul 26 2015, 03:34 PM.

It doesn't necessarily have to be linked to enlightenment in the sense of moralistic viewpoints, I think. The eye also refers to clairvoyance, spiritual observation, and deeper levels of the human mind. It wouldn't surprise me if Tien treated his martial arts as as much of a spiritual practice as he does a formal career and personal pleasure. So yes, I do believe he's human.
